Endoscopic imaging and optical sensors provide detailed analysis of mixture formation, ignition and combustion processes. LaVision presented two products for in-cylinder optical indication.
The ICOS system measures air-fuel-ratio (lambda value), EGR rate, gas temperature and water concentration with highest temporal resolution directly inside the combustion chamber of an IC engine. LaVision’s EngineMaster inspex systems provide turnkey imaging solutions for in-cylinder spray and combustion visualization. Powerful algorithms derive spray geometry, flame propagation speed and soot temperature from endoscopic images.
